  • All players and coaches must have US Lacrosse membership valid through at least June 30, 2021. It is essential that families follow the protocols outlined below:
  • Anyone in quarantine, whether symptomatic or not, is not allowed to attend practice or games for the duration of the required quarantine.
  • Coaches and players will not attend practice if they are feeling sick, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have a temperature above 100.3.
  • Parents and family may watch practice, so long as they are masked and grouped by family unit, but otherwise socially distanced from others.
  • 10-15 minutes before practice is the earliest that athletes may be dropped off at the practice field. If families arrive before this, athletes are required to stay in their car until 10-15 minutes before practice.
  • Athletes should come out of the car fully equipped and ready to practice. Do not plan to dress at the fields.
  • Parents/guardians should arrive for pick-up not more than 10 minutes before the end of practice, and athletes must depart the field immediately following practice.
  • We have installed a 15 minute buffer between “back to back” practices so there is no overlap of families with drop off / pick up.
  • Equipment bags/ water bottles must be placed at least 6 feet apart from each other off the field (coaches will put out cones for this). Congregating during breaks should also be 3-6 feet apart.
  • Coaches and staff are required to wear a face mask or cloth face covering when unable to easily, continuously, and measurably keep 6 ft of physical distance from others, unless doing so would be contrary to his or her health or safety due to medical conditions.
  • Coaches and staff should check their temperature just prior to arriving for each practice.



  • Safety and health recommendations from the state of CT can change daily/weekly. We will continue to monitor these and will adjust the protocol below as needed. See below for the format we have outlined for practices to help keep everyone as safe as possible.
  • Athletes are not allowed to practice if they have any signs of illness, or have tested positive for or showing COVID-19 symptoms. This also includes athletes that have come in direct contact with anyone who currently has COVID 19 symptoms. Contact tracing will be performed per applicable CT DPH and FVHD guidelines.
  • Anyone in quarantine, whether symptomatic or not, is not allowed to attend practice or games for the duration of the required quarantine.
  • No sharing or borrowing of protective gear or water bottles.
  • Water bottles must be clearly marked with names.
  • No indoor bathrooms will open for use.
  • We highly encourage families to NOT carpool.
  • We highly encourage high risk (comorbidities) and anyone over the age of 65 to not participate in any drop-off / pick-up activities.
  • Sportsmanship will continue in a touchless manner – no handshakes/fist bumps/ etc.
  • Coaches will do their best to keep everyone socially distanced when there is no activity: during huddles, breaks, or on the sidelines; run drills that minimize standing in line, etc
  • Athletes are encouraged to wear face coverings when not engaged in active play. While engaged in the active play of sports or strenuous activities, athletes do not need to wear a face covering.
